ABOUT
<Code>Kaya is a Kenyan start-up focused on empowering young Africans in the field of Information and Technology to get good employment opportunities. The business was started by Janis M'imiemba and Lilian Mbithe in October 2021. The founders were inspired to start the business by the large number of unemployed Kenyan graduates despite most of them having the necessary skills to get them jobs and internships.

<Code>Kaya plans to solve the problem by helping developers improve their skills by exposing them to numerous tests and informational resources hence increasing their employability. Further, CodeKaya will hold events such as hackathons and Career fairs to create networking opportunities between potential employers and employees.

Our team is currently made of two staff members
LILIAN MBITHE
Co-founder
Lilian is has a degree in Computer Science from Ashesi University. Her passions include creating opportunities for other people through entrepreneurship, software engineering, and writing.
JANIS M'IMIEMBA
Co-founder
Janis is a graduate of Management Information Systems (MIS) from Ashesi University. She is an entrepreneur and technology enthusiast. She believes that the solutions to African problems lie among the African people, and she is passionate about combining technology with entrepreneurship to find lasting and innovative solutions to the challenges we face today.
